ABSTRACT

Objective To study the clinical therapeutic effect of the combined antihistamine for the treatment of allergic pharyngitis. Methods In January 2015 to December 2016 during the hospital outpatient service received by irritating cough,50 patients with pharyngeal itching for the main symptoms as the object of study, summary and analysis on the clinical symptoms of all patients,in the conventional treatment on the basis of leukotriene receptor antagonist combined antihistamines treatment, close observation after 1 week,2 weeks after treatment in patients with symptoms improved after treatment. Results The clinical main characteristic of allergic pharyngitis is the irritating dry cough, and the first pharynx is a cough. After a week of treatment, the symptoms of the patient were significantly improved, and after two weeks of treatment, the symptoms of the patient continued to be improved and the results were significant. Conclusion In clinical patients with cough,is one of the most important causes of allergic pharyngitis,if the patient is not adopted in treatment of anti-allergic drugs, can lead to therapeutic effect, but the joint antihistamines leukotriene receptor antagonist treatment, can effectively eliminate the symptoms of allergic pharyngitis, obvious effect, effectively improve the patient's quality of life.

ABSTRACT

Objective To train health care workers (HCWs)by method of conventional training plus survey of hand contamination status, the influence of two kinds of methods in hand hygiene compliance of HCWs was evalua-ted.Methods From November 2013 to April 2014,all HCWs in a cardiovascular internal medicine department were as trained subjects, they were divided into two groups (trial group and control group).Hand hygiene compli-ance status was investigated 1 month before training. In the first month after training, conventional training method was adopted by both groups, from the second to fifth month, conventional training plus hand contamination survey was adopted by trial group, hand hygiene compliance between two groups were compared. Results Hand hygiene compliance rates of trial group and control group was 42.63% (107/251 )and 41 .80% (102/244)respectively be-fore training, there was no significant difference(P >0.05 ).In the first and second month after training, hand hygiene compliance rate of trial group was 55.70% (132/237)and 63.11 % (154/244)respectively,control group was 56.52% (130/230)and 62.61 % (149/238)respectively,compared with pre-training,the differences were sig-nificant (both P 0.05);From the third to fifth month, hand hygiene compliance rates of trial group was 60.73%(150/247),61 .44%(145/236),and 61 .22%(150/245)respectively,control group was 51 .68%(123/238),51 .02%(125/245 ),and 52.32% (124/237)respec-tively,there was significant difference between two groups(P <0.05).Conclusion Conventional training combined with survey of hand contamination status can promote hand hygiene compliance of HCWs.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the influence of acupuncture and stage health education on the function rehabilitation of stroke patients with depression. Methods 85 patients with poststroke depression were divided into a treatment group (44) and a control group (41).All the cases were treated with routine neurological therapy.Based upon it,the treatment group was given acupuncture and stage health education.Barthel (BI) index and movement scale Fugl Meyer (FMA),depression scale Zung (SDS) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)were observed in the two groups before and after the treatment. Results After eight weeks treatment, the scores of SDS and HAMD in the two groups were (46.97±12.17),(26.04±5.37),compared with the pretreatment scores(56.07± 5.51),(32.74± 5.17),they were significantly reduced. The scores ofBI,FMB were(67.13 ±15.53),(64.41 ±20.03) which were significantly increased (average P<0.01),this increase was more significant in the treatment group (P<0.05) Post-stroke depression comparison:the total effect of SDS and HAMD in the treatment group was (77.88%,78.6%),which was more superior to the control group (56.6%,52.4%).Conclusion The acupuncture and stage health education has a significant clinical treatment effect on the patients suffered from post-stroke depression and also can enhance their body movement function as well as the daily ability.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the value of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for patient with gynecological malignancies after treatment of hysterectomy and chemotherapy/radiotherapy.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>All 32 patients with cervical or endometrial cancer after hysterectomy received full course IMRT after 1 to 3 cycles of chemotherapy (Karnofsky performance status(KPS) > or =70). Seventeen of these patients underwent postoperative preventive irradiation and the other 15 patients were pelvic wall recurrence and/or retroperitoneal lymph node metastasis, though postoperative radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy had been given after operation.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The median dose delivered to the PTV was 56.8 Gy for preventive irradiation, and 60.6 Gy for pelvic wall recurrence or retroperioneal lymph node metastasis irradiation. It was required that 90% of iso-dose curve could covere more than 99% of GTV. However, The mean dose irradiated to small intestine, bladder, rectum, kidney and spinal cord was 21.3 Gy, 37.8 Gy, 35.3 Gy, 8.5 Gy, 22.1 Gy, respectively. Fourteen patients presented grade I (11 patients) or II (3 patients) digestive tract side-effects, Five patients developed grade I or II bone marrow depression. Twelve patients had grade I skin reaction. The overall 1-year survival rate was 100%. The 2- and 3- year survival rate for preventive irradiation were both 100%, but which was 5/7 and 3/6 for the patients with pelvic wall recurrence or retroperioneal lymph node metastasis.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Intensity modulated radiation therapy can provide a better dose distribution than traditional radiotherapy for both prevention and pelvic wall recurrence or retroperioneal lymph node metastasis. The toxicity is tolerable. The adjacent organs at risk can well be protected.</p>

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To find the cause of lower respiratory tract infection as soon as possible and take measures to control the infection.METHODS The records of hospitalized patients in the intensive care unit(ICU) form Nov 28 to Dec 6 in 2006 were analyzed;and the disinfection efficiency, sterilization effect and the environment were monitored.RESULTS The incidence rate of lower respiratory tract infection was 54.55%.The qualified rate of disinfection and sterilization monitoring was 35.71%.The respiratory tubing, bed handle, bottle openner, computer mouse, the surface of the file cabinet and air vents were heavily infected. The Staphylococcus aureus was isolated from the quilt cover and the surface of the file cabinet.CONCLUSIONS We should put more emphasis on the management of the infective disease in the ICU,on hand washing and the cleanliness and maintenance of the devices.Disinfection and isolation guidelines should be strictly followed to reduce the incident rate of infection in the ICU.
